How to read no-fishing zone information
NAKMAT shows public data released by national and local governments. The zones are not designated or verified by NAKMAT.
- It may differ from the latest notices
- Zones change with the seasons, water quality, events and more. There can be a gap between when the source data is updated and when it appears in the app.
- On-site signs come first
- If there’s a no-fishing sign on site, the sign is right — even if the app shows nothing. Enforcement and fines follow the local government’s official notices and on-site guidance.
- The app is not legal evidence
- NAKMAT screens can’t be used as evidence or legal grounds in an enforcement case. Before your trip, please double-check with the local government’s website or the office in charge.
- Data may sometimes fail to load
- During public data server maintenance or network outages, some zones may not appear. An empty map doesn’t mean there are no no-fishing zones.
